SeaDreamII-Porquerolles_FranceSeaDream Yacht Club is planning to sail just a single ship to Northern Europe in the summer of 2011, offering yachting enthusiasts a chance to explore key sights in London, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Copenhagen and Bordeaux amongst other scenic destinations. One of its two leading luxury yachts is expected to make the route through Scandinavia, the Baltic and Atlantic Coast of France, Spain and Portugal. Prior to the voyage, the SeaDream I will be making a 15-day translatlantic sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico to London with a stop in the Azores. This trip is scheduled for April 2011.

SeaDream offers an alternative to ‘big ship’ cruising, promising a more intimate experience for travelers with five-star dining and five-star customer service throughout the trip. Because the yacht is smaller in size than the average luxury cruise ship, the trips typically include stops at yachting playgrounds, harbors and ports where the larger cruise ships are unable to dock in. Only a maximum of 112 guests are permitted to travel aboard these luxury yachts, and guests can enjoy 24-hour dining, buffet or sit-down service, and have access to a bar at the top of the yacht.

SeaDream boats also offer onsite spa services through the SeaDream spa. Spa services will be available to all guests taking the Northern Europe trip in 2011.

SeaDream Yacht Club has acquired several awards throughout its history including an award from Cruise Critic, Berlitz, and has also been featured on the Travel Channel. In recent news, guests traveling on the Seadream II’s Transatlantic trip from Puerto Rico were permitted to swim in the Atlantic and take part in a special ceremony with the captain.

Look for travel itineraries for the 2011 voyage on the yacht company’s website. The SeaDream I and SeaDream II are expected to sail to the Caribbean during the winter months.
